Though a Jersey girl from birth, my heart lies in the country. Maybe that's why I love my new home of Alabama.
I live and breath the outdoors. I could spend the whole day tromping through the woods, floating aimless down a river or hiking the rough terrain of a mountain side.
Any day I have to stay cooped up in one room, I grow restless like caged animal. Nothing can beat the sun shining on your face, or a breeze playing with your hair.
I got my love of fishing and camping from my dad. I went on my first camping trip when I was four years old and I have been hooked ever since. Those were the years I loved best and can still remember vividly.
Kayaking, hiking, running and playing just about any sport imaginable are some of my other interests.
I also have loved to read and write for as long as I can remember. That's why I have decided to major in journalism. One of my dreams is to become a reporter for a local paper then work my way up to some major news outlets. Just wherever God leads me. Journalism has given me a taste of excitement that I would love to do every day. Not only would it let me travel to unknown parts but it allows me to cover something different each and every day. I don't have to study one particular field. I can learn journalism and learn about all those other fields along the way. How cool is that. My career will always be new, different and challenging.
Besides my future, I love spending time with my awesome family, my amazing brother and my adorable cat; though she it seems she needs an attitude adjustment.
From my mom, I enjoy cooking; mostly grilling and am sad to day I am far from the typical Susie Homemaker.
Thats just the way God made me. Without Him I would be nothing and He has been with me every step of the way on this crazy ride of a girl from Jersey to the the wilds of Bama country.
